What you would be doing

  • Install and maintain underground electrical and communications reticulation systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate planned maintenance and minimise production downtime.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with:
  • Provide hands-on support in PLC analysis, modification, and monitoring.
  • Champion a safety-first culture and lead by example in the field.
  • Organise and supervise test and tag activities in line with applicable legislation.
  • Assist with infrastructure projects and electrical system upgrades.
  • Complete scheduled servicing and statutory testing of all electrical assets.
  • Contribute to ongoing development of safe work procedures and operational strategies.
  • Support the rollout and commissioning of automation systems including:
  • Respond to electrical faults and breakdowns on mobile and fixed plant equipment.
  • Timely completion of scheduled maintenance and statutory inspections.
  • Reduced equipment downtime through effective fault resolution.
  • Carry out electrical servicing of underground mobile drilling and mining equipment.
  • Commission and maintain ventilation fans, substations, lighting, dewatering, and communications infrastructure.
  • Supervise and lead a team of underground electricians to ensure timely execution of:
  • Maintain accurate electrical logs, work orders, and compliance records.
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and upgrades of electrical systems across underground operations.
  • Conduct advanced fault-finding, diagnostics, and component-level repairs.
