Review and approve design packages prepared by junior engineers and designers.

Lead and perform the complete design of substation projects including:
Provide engineering support during procurement, fabrication, and construction.

Support proposals and business development by developing scope, schedule, and budget estimates.
Prepare equipment specifications and procurement documents for major substation components (power transformers, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, instrument transformers, protection panels).

Experience with 230 kV–500 kV substations and complex greenfield/brownfield projects.
Demonstrated ability to lead project design teams and review deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power emphasis preferred) or related engineering discipline.
Experience with protection and control wiring design and relay panel layouts.
Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (NESC, IEEE, NEC).
Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with clients, utilities, and construction contractors.
Minimum 8 years of experience in substation physical design engineering.
Ability to sit/stand for up to 8 hours per day.
Proficiency in grounding analysis software (CDEGS, WinIGS) and mechanical/electrical calculation tools.
Ability to move freely for up to 8 hours per day.
Working knowledge of P&C design fundamentals and schematics.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Georgia or ability to obtain within 12 months.
Proficiency with substation design tools and software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bentley Substation, or similar).
