The role is based in Clayton South, VIC (or Epping) and is a permanent, full‑time position within Service Stream’s Utilities team. As a Field Supervisor – Water, you will oversee a team of crew leaders and field staff delivering water main renewal projects across Melbourne.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for planning, pre‑construction and on‑site delivery of projects, ensuring they meet safety, quality, schedule and budget targets while satisfying client expectations. You will work with both directly employed staff and subcontracted resources, managing single‑site or multi‑site programmes.
The position requires coordination of permits, development of project and HSEQ management plans, and preparation of compliance documents such as ITPs, SWMS and JSEAs. You will also lead toolbox meetings, procure materials, and manage subcontractors to align construction activities with MRWA and WSAA standards.
Ideal candidates possess at least eight years of infrastructure construction experience, including five years in the water and sewer sector and two years supervising water renewal crews. A solid understanding of building codes, safety legislation and civil services discipline, together with strong leadership and analytical skills, is essential.
