Data Migration & Cleaning: Execute strong data analysis and preparation to clean, validate, and prepare the Fibre Database for migration from Microsoft Access to a new, secure cloud platform.
Technical Support: Provide specialized support to ensure smooth transition and high data quality throughout the migration and integration process.
Quality Assurance & Documentation: Produce clear, comprehensive technical and end-user documentation, including functional specifications, training materials, and testing documents.
System Integration: Design and implement data integration strategies, applying design skills to integrate the clean fibre data into the in-house Telecom Authorization System (TAS).
Development Collaboration: Actively collaborate with TAS developers by leveraging experience in software development concepts to ensure accurate and efficient data flow and integration between the database and TAS.
GIS Data Management: Manage and perform data uploads into Smallworld GIS and ensure accurate data is added to ArcGIS for spatial analysis, mapping, and reporting.

Previous Utilities sector experience, engineering or software background, knowledge of Fibre Optics/Telecom ( preferred)
Ability to produce clear, high-quality documentation (functional specs, testing/training docs).
Excellent technical skills in troubleshooting and correcting issues, with advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, and Access)
Excellent communication skills for a professional environment, both written and spoken.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
3 years of production support and/or upgrade experience in IT Business Application Support or equivalent with Strong proficiency in data analysis and preparation techniques.
Experience or strong understanding of software development principles for effective collaboration with developers (specifically on a Ruby on Rails application like TAS).
Intermediate working knowledge and excellent skills in adhering to divisional and ISO 9000 quality standards and documentation procedures.
Proven familiarity with GIS systems, including ArcGIS, and practical experience with Microsoft Access database management.
Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
