In this role you will inspect properties before and after works, provide technical advice to trades and subcontractors, manage contracts and monitor progress, use customer insight to fulfil the customer promise, resolve disrepair and damp issues, measure materials accurately, and ensure void properties are ready for quick re‑let.
Home Group is looking for a skilled Maintenance Surveyor to join its repairs and maintenance team, helping raise and maintain quality standards in homes and making a real difference for customers while developing their own careers.
Candidates must hold at least an HNC in Surveying or an HND/degree in Surveying or a related construction discipline, have strong post‑qualification experience, understand damp and mould causes (with PCAQT qualification or willingness to obtain it), be familiar with CDM regulations, and be capable of diagnosing complex building pathology and managing contractors safely.
The role operates Monday‑Friday, allowing you to shape your diary around work and personal commitments; you will need to use technology for record‑keeping, budgeting and KPI management, hold a full UK driving licence with an insured vehicle (mileage covered), and undergo a basic DBS check, which the company will fund.
The package includes a salary of £40,000–£45,000 (depending on qualifications such as RICS), up to 7% employer pension contributions, 34 days’ leave (including bank holidays and a ‘me day’), a health cash plan worth up to £1,140 per year, life assurance of three times basic salary, supermarket discounts and travel expense reimbursement.
Home Group promotes an inclusive culture where colleagues can be themselves, supported by diversity networks for multicultural, LGBTQIA+ and disability groups, contributing to its standing as one of the UK’s top ten Great Places to Work.
