Graphic Design Marketing Intern

You will support the development of marketing materials, graphics, and proposal layouts that highlight our technical expertise, mission, and commitment to sustainability.

As a Marketing & Graphic Design Intern, you will work under the Marketing Manager and collaborate with our business development and technical teams to create compelling visual and written content. This internship is an opportunity to build real-world experience in proposal design, branding, and content creation within the sustainability and energy engineering industry.

• Assist in incorporating visual elements (graphics, charts, icons) to enhance clarity and storytelling.
• Learn compliance and proposal layout standards under guidance from senior staff.
• Participate in proposal kickoff meetings to observe the proposal development process.
• Support the creation and formatting of digital content such as brochures, social media visuals, and corporate templates.
• Help maintain brand consistency across all visual communications.
• Support editing and proofreading for accuracy, style, and visual coherence
• Collaborate with team members to improve templates, style guides, and visual standards.
• Portfolio-building work in graphic design and proposal layout.
• Assist in designing graphics, layouts, infographics, and visual elements for proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
• Help organize marketing content, resumes, and project descriptions in our internal database.
• Support the maintenance of project descriptions and marketing collateral repositories.
• Work with cross-functional teams to format proposal documents and presentations.
• Assist with updating staff bios and resumes in coordination with HR and engineering teams.

Requirements

This is an internship position (approximately 30 hours per week) based out of our Salt Lake City (SLC) office. In-person presence is required, as this role involves on-site collaboration and engagement with our team.

• Strong eye for layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
• Hands-on experience in the A/E/C and sustainability marketing field.
• WordPress and Elementor expertise a plus but not required.
• Basic to intermediate skills in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or Canva.
• Exposure to real RFP/RFQ response processes and professional branding strategies.
• Strong creative thinking skills with the ability to translate concepts into visually compelling designs.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; willingness to learn proposal formatting in Word.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Ability to take direction, ask questions, and meet deadlines.
