The Project Coordinator assists the Project Manager in support activities for projects and programs within an assigned region or division. The ideal candidate understands major business components and implications, leads by example in an environment that fosters trust and candor, maintains personal accountability, and communicates assertively and constructively.
Key responsibilities include tracking job status, scheduling work, and coordinating field labor from initiation to completion. The coordinator interacts with customers to provide status updates, manages all project documentation, orders materials, secures permits, and handles invoicing and billing. They also acquire technical knowledge of project scopes, engage throughout the project life‑cycle, deliver timely reports, ensure compliance with the Project Management Methodology, uphold safety and quality protocols, and recommend process improvements.
Candidates should have some college, technical or advanced education, or equivalent experience in construction or utilities, along with general office administrative experience. Proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required, as are strong communication, organizational, and moderately complex problem‑solving skills.
