In this role you will oversee steam turbine outage projects for both GE and other OEM fleets, coordinating all phases of work while adhering to the SQDC framework that balances safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.
You will manage technical and safety aspects of assigned turbine outages, act as the primary customer liaison throughout the project, and collaborate with engineering, sourcing, project management, safety and quality teams to meet performance KPIs and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include applying site DMS rigor to reach outage milestones, using business tools and processes consistently, performing data‑driven analysis to guide recommendations, and capturing and disseminating best‑practice lessons across the organization.
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or diploma in mechanical engineering (or equivalent) and have at least six years of field‑service experience for graduates (or eight years for diploma holders) in steam turbine outage execution, preferably on units of 100 MW or larger.
Desired technical competencies encompass solid fundamentals in steam turbine technology, proficiency with MS Office and scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera, and strong grasp of time‑ and cost‑control for turbine overhauls; behavioral strengths include keen observation, analytical thinking, a sense of urgency, systematic problem‑solving, and effective teamwork with colleagues, vendors and customers.
The position involves extensive travel to thermal power stations throughout India and operates under GE Vernova’s remote‑work policy from a home location; relocation assistance is not provided.
