The operator is responsible for running equipment and associated processes, including raw‑material preparation, unloading, packing and labeling, while complying with legal and company regulations. The focus is on maintaining production flow, quality standards, and safety within the plant.
Key duties include preparing raw materials, operating processing equipment according to instructions, monitoring run rates, conducting initial product testing, verifying labels and packaging, and packaging finished goods to H.B. Fuller quality standards. The employee must follow all quality, operating and EHS procedures, keep the work area clean, and perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Applicants need at least a high school diploma or equivalent, basic proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to read work orders, safety and quality documentation. The role requires availability for a 12‑hour night shift schedule, a minimum of three years’ industrial machine‑operating experience (plastic‑machinery experience preferred), and willingness to be cross‑trained on all production equipment.
The job demands standing for long periods, walking, climbing stairs, and regular lifting of up to 50 lb (100 lb with assistance). Workers must stretch, reach, stoop, bend, and operate in a normal chemical environment with temperature, dust, odor and noise exposure.
The hourly wage is $20, with compensation influenced by education, experience, certifications, and location. H.B. Fuller provides a competitive total rewards package that includes comprehensive benefits, health and wellness programs, incentive and recognition initiatives, 401(k) contributions, paid time off and paid holidays, subject to eligibility.
