General Cleaner - PT

Description

The Janitor position is responsible for keeping workplaces clean, organized, and disinfected. This includes performing a wide range of cleaning tasks in offices, hallways, restrooms, and other work areas while maintaining inventory and adhering to safety protocols.

• Clean interior surfaces such as floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, elevators, stairs, and locker rooms.
• Remove stains from chairs and upholstered furniture and keep all furniture dust‑free.
• Disinfect high‑touch items including desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
• Maintain and restock restrooms, ensuring supplies are replenished as needed.
• Wash and clean windows and mirrors.
• Empty trash, recycling, and ashtray containers and transport them to disposal areas.
• Clear trash and snow from sidewalks when required.
• Track cleaning activities on a chart and report completed areas.
• Maintain cleaning supply inventory and request replacements from supervisors.
• Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions or maintenance needs.
• Follow all safety and precaution rules, including proper equipment use.

Requirements

• Lift up to 50 pounds and close doors at the end of the night shift.
• Demonstrate punctual attendance, dependability, and adherence to safety and security procedures.
