VDC/BIM Coordinator

Description

• Interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings for field coordination.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to resolve design issues and communicate adjustments.
• Participate in coordination meetings to resolve clashes and maintain compliance with budget, constructability, and code requirements.
• Travel to project sites as needed to support coordination and execution efforts.
• Create, review, and manage 2D and 3D electrical drawings for field installation and coordination with other subcontractor trades.
• Prepare and track Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify design intent and ensure accurate project documentation.
• Maintain adherence to all company safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Develop detailed shop drawings, cross-sections, and layout plans for conduit, cable, and electrical systems to support fabrication and installation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a BIM/VDC Assistant Coordinator, or 5 years in a related technical or design role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook with solid general computer skills.
• Strong understanding of construction blueprints, specifications, and 3D coordination across multiple trades.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM 360 Glue, or BIM Collaborate.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or trade education preferred.
