Description

• Lead and manage tax compliance engagements, ensuring adherence to standards, budgets, and deadlines.
• Plan and schedule tax engagements using client and firm resources.
• Act as the primary tax point of contact for clients within the firm.
• Provide proactive communication and timely service to clients.
• Conduct detailed reviews of tax work papers and provision calculations performed by associates.
• Review tax returns, research, communications, and other deliverables.
• Communicate project status, service opportunities, and significant matters promptly to clients and partners.
• Train, direct, and supervise staff and senior accountants.
• Lead firm initiatives and projects.
• Maintain technical expertise in industry‑specific tax areas.
• Provide recommendations to management and possess prior public accounting experience.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent education‑experience combination.
• Maintain a valid CPA license in the practicing state.
• Bring 5+ years of relevant accounting or tax experience, including high‑net‑worth individual tax work.
• Demonstrate subject‑matter leadership in accounting or tax services and experience mentoring staff.

The estimated base salary for this Tax Manager role ranges from $106,000 to $160,000, with potential annual discretionary bonuses and future salary growth.
