Performs design calculations and prepares equipment or material specifications.
Assignments require the investigation of a limited number of variables and supervisory assistance is provided on unusual problems.

Familiar with the AE design process and specifications leading to construction documents.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Five+ years’ experience in electrical engineering or the equivalent thereof.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills to peers, managers, and clients
Experience in performing design calculations and preparing equipment or material specifications
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Experience in lighting, power, grounding, lightning protection, signal, communication, controls and fire detection systems designs.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment
Working knowledge of applicable electrical and design codes
Experience in budgeting, scheduling, planning facility design projects
Software: Proficient with MS Office software; including MS Word, Excel; AutoCAD and/or Microstation; and Building Information Management (BIM) Revit. Experience with SKM, EasyPower, or EDSA software.
Experience with all phases of project management and production
Experience in the design of commercial, industrial, educational, and governmental buildings, small industrial plants and warehouses, and/or central chilled water and heating plants.
Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast-track environment
Professional registration as a licensed electrical engineer preferred; PE registration in the State of New Mexico preferred.
LEED Accredited Professional certification a plus
Valid NM drivers’ license required.
