  • Building Small Stuff - Forming and fabricating piezo-electric transducers, micro-soldering, molding, etc.
  • Fixing Stuff - Replacing and repairing components, and refurbishing our ultrasonic scanning tools
  • Building Big Stuff - Building research apparatus such as test platforms, test jigs, and our core products
  • Quality Control - Measurement of incoming parts with reference to drawings
  • Breaking Stuff - Carrying out experiments and product validation using test equipment. For example, you’ll break stuff in our heated pressure vessel at 10,000 psi and 200 C and then figure out what went wrong!

Successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal background check.

  • Experience in QC and measurement of components
  • Mechanical aptitude - you have hands-on experience in assembling - taking things apart, putting them back together again
  • This position does not have any automation or programming related work
  • Technical certificate or diploma from a technical institute (in manufacturing, mechatronics, electrical, electronics, mechanical, or a similar field)
  • Soldering experience
  • Ability to build components from spec
  • Ability to use and understand electronic testing equipment such as multi-meters
  • Experience soldering under a microscope
  • Strong interest in building and tinkering with electronics or mechanics as evidenced by hobbies or previous jobs
  • Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings and schematics
  • Experience in product assembly or technical hobbies in mechanics or electronics
  • Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams

This is an on-site regular full-time position in our HQ in North Vancouver, BC, where employees enjoy full access to our facility amenities including a well-equipped gym, squash court, climbing wall, steam room, and more!

For this role, we anticipate paying $50,000 to $65,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
