What you would be doing

- Conduct site assessments to evaluate solar and ESS feasibility.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, UL, IEEE, etc.).
- Gather structural, electrical, and site data to support system design.
- Support interconnection, permitting, construction, and commissioning processes.
- Prepare detailed electrical and physical designs including site plans, single-line diagrams (SLDs), conduit and wiring layouts, grounding, and interconnection packages.
- Maintain accurate design records and contribute to the improvement of design standards and workflows.
- Develop technical design specifications and documentation for PV and ESS projects.
- Perform system modeling, yield analysis, and load studies using design software.
- Lead and mentor drafting teams, maintaining CAD standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including utilities and permitting agencies.

- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of utility interconnection requirements and industry codes.
- Experience with energy storage integration and inverter systems.
- EIT and/or NABCEP certification preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (or equivalent), PVSyst, and one-line diagram development.
