We’re looking for a dynamic leader to take lead our environmental liaison officers, driving excellence in compliance and shaping the future of our sustainability journey.

In this pivotal role, you’ll create and deliver strategies that respond to regulator insights, lead transformation programmes that align with our business goals, and inspire your team to achieve outstanding results.

  • To support the Head of Environmental Performance in the execution of company goals and act as deputy to the Head of Environmental Performance during periods of absence
  • To review existing and identify new processes and embed into associated instructions to deliver continuous improvement.
  • To develop, manage and disseminate Environmental Liaison policies, processes and strategies
  • To support the Environmental Services team with technical matters relating to regulatory inspections
  • Undertake audits of processes to identify improvement actions
  • Representing the company on external working groups
  • To lead and support a team of Environmental Liaison Officers and provide direction and guidance
  • Lead and support the team members and operational managers with technical aspects of regulatory improvement

  • Full UK driving license is required for this role as site visits form a key part of the role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and corporate systems (e.g. Comply, OMS, JIRA)
  • Strong & proven leadership ability.
  • Extensive problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, develop and drive solutions to a wide range of problems whilst knowing when to escalate or seek support from others
  • Demonstrable experience developing strategies, policies and procedural documents.
  • Detailed understanding of environmental permitting regulations relevant to water industry operations.
  • Excellent proven analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong knowledge of the regulatory and legislative framework for the water industry.
