Description

• Sell and promote the full Dobbs Equipment product line.
• Grow and develop customer relationships to increase market share.
• Quote, negotiate prices and credit terms, prepare contracts, and close orders.
• Provide on‑site demonstrations, machine inspections, and technical support.
• Maintain a contact‑management database and call log for the territory.
• Track market awareness and generate lost‑sales reports.
• Report status to sales manager on goals and objectives.
• Manage and maximize rental conversions.
• Meet or exceed targets for units, dollars, and gross profit.
• Control sales‑related expenses.
• Attend training and sales meetings to stay current on equipment and deals.
• Provide feedback to other departments.
• Supply trade‑in information when requested.
• Adhere to Dobbs Equipment and client safety policies.

Requirements

Dobbs Equipment is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Manager (CAM). The CAM is responsible for the sale, rental, and leasing of all new and used John Deere equipment and allied products, distributed by Dobbs Equipment. The CAM will develop partnerships with current and potential clients to grow Dobbs Equipment's market share in their territory. Management may assign additional duties as necessary.

The work environment may include occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outdoor weather. Noise levels are generally quiet.

The role requires regular standing, walking, climbing, reaching, talking and hearing, as well as frequent use of hands for handling and feeling. Employees must often stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally sit. Lifting up to 50 pounds is regular, with occasional lifts up to 100 pounds. Required vision includes close and color vision.

• Valid driver’s license.
• Equipment sales experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or minimum 3 years related experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Effective communication with teammates and customers.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and self‑motivation.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Basic arithmetic skills with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Quick learner who can think outside the box.
• Extensive driving and overnight travel required.
• Bilingual ability is a plus.
