What you would be doing

- Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
- Execute manual, semi-automated, and automated Biochemical, Hematological, Microbiological, and Blood Bank analyses.
- Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
- Prepare patient samples for testing and assess the acceptability of specimens and results.
- Conduct laboratory tests and procedures using techniques such as ELISA, RNA extraction, and flow cytometry.
- Accurately prepare, label, and store reagents, standards, controls, and specimens.
- Perform Hematology, Chemistry, and Urinalysis testing.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure proper functionality.
- Verify the accuracy of results and initiate corrective action when necessary.
- Recognize and take appropriate action for normal, abnormal, unusual, and critical results as per lab policy.

- Proficiency in areas such as hematology, clinical chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, and/or microscopy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Coachable with the ability to take and apply feedback effectively.
- Proficient with computers and laboratory information systems.
- Experience with Blood Bank operations is required for the 3rd shift and preferred for the 2nd shift.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or related science.
- Proven reliability and positive attendance record.
- Blood Bank experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to operate and maintain laboratory instruments.
- Experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Lab Scientist (MLS), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) from ASCP, NCA, AMT, or AAB.
