Senior Flow Assurance Engineer responsible for providing technical expertise in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and transport phenomena to support traditional oil and gas and energy transition markets.
Responsible for meeting the requirements laid out by the Lead FA Engineer, with respect to meeting discipline cost and schedule requirements in production of deliverables
Recommends changes in plans and estimated man hours/ cost when necessary
Interprets specifications and investigates difficulties
With responsibility for cost, schedule, resource allocation and risk, while working within an established program management plan.Provide technical input and support to the drafting of proposals and CTRs as required
Conducts problem solving in the area of FA engineering expertise: problems involve new concepts and new and varied problems to be solved that demand technical expertise, Investigation and interpretation
Performing steady state and transient single phase and multi-phase flow simulations for various projects (oil, gas/ condensate systems, water injection, chemical injection, H2, CO2, etc)
Develops solutions to nonrecurring problems by appraising, interpreting and evaluating various precedents and data.
Develops a range of engineering deliverables, including specifications, calculations, reports, technical requisitions and others
Active participation in design reviews
Exercises professional judgement in selecting and interpreting information and modifying standard methods and procedures with guidance from the Lead/ Principal FA Engineer
Coordinates own work schedule in collaboration with the Lead FA Engineer and assists with preparing progress reports
In consultancy business areas, may assist the Lead/ Principal FA Engineer with delivering small-scale projects
Reviews vendor documents
Plans and carries out successive steps in a defined flow assurance scope/ work flow and handles problems with general guidance from the Lead/ Principal FA engineer’s instructions, Wood or client policies/ standards and precedents
Develops alternative solutions, identifies risks and benefits when required

Proficient user of typical Process, Flow Assurance and PVT software suites, such as OLGA, Leda Flow, Pipesim, PVTSim and Multiflash.
Recognised qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. Chemical, Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering).
Ability to guide and mentor Graduate Engineers.
Experience with performing steady state and transient flow assurance modelling for Oil and Gas-Condensate systems.
Meaningful and interesting projects; delivered to leaders of industry across subsea and export systems, engineering and technology solutions
Experience with VisualBasic is desirable.
User of relevant industry standard Process Modelling tools e.g. Aspen HYSYS/ Unisim (desired but not necessary).
Working level of knowledge of industry and technology development within discipline area.
Previous experience in Flow Assurance.
Knowledge of multiphase flow, fluid dynamics, heat transfer and related engineering topics is desirable but not required.
