Distribution Center Coordinator (Shipping/Receiving) - Cypress, CA (FCA)

Description

• Assists management efforts in root cause analysis, problem solving, and elimination of recurring issues as directed by supervision or management
• Picks/Packs materials for sales orders
• Assists management with planning, budgeting, and compliance standards, policies, and procedures
• Schedules and coordinates applicable inbound/outbound shipments on a daily basis
• Performs inventory management, including transfers, cycle counting, adjustments, etc.
• Loads/Unloads using forklift and/or pallet jack
• Assists management and corporate office with various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules, training of new employees, and all safety protocols
• Ensures all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during the execution of Distribution Center activities
• Coordinates shift activities with management team and planning department to ensure the Distribution Center objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Validates quality and accuracy of all sales orders
• Escalates issues to management in a timely manner
• Provides leadership and direction for employees through effective communications, mentoring, coaching, training, and development

Requirements

• Ability to operate powered lift equipment (forklift, wave picker, hoists, etc.)
• Ability to learn new skills and apply the new skills to daily work tasks
• Experience in an industrial warehouse environment with knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within related field
• Ability to adapt to change is essential
• Highly motivated, disciplined problem-solver
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume, and automated environment with strong attention to detail and an emphasis on quality of work
• High school diploma or GED
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer skills
• Knowledge of Inventory Control Procedures
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)
• Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture
• Demonstrates a high level of customer service
