The Role

Overview

Oversee and execute multi‑project land surveying tasks under a Licensed Surveyor.

Tasks

-Perform property information research duties for record of surveys, tract maps, parcel maps, deeds, as‐built, etc., using internet and document search software. -Work with field and office personnel, both as a team member and independently, to produce Record of Surveys, A.L.T.A. surveys, Plats and Legal Descriptions, Topographic Surveys, Lot line Adjustments, easement exhibits, and any document required for project completion -Perform site field checks. -Preparing drawings per company CAD standards. -Work closely with Management to develop project scopes and schedules and track and maintain project budgets. -Resolve boundaries using accepted boundary and legal principles and case, state and federal laws under supervision of a Licensed Land Surveyor -Review and understand Agreements, CC&R’s and other documents within Title reports. -Adjust conventional and G.P.S. control networks. -Calculate accurate Easements and Boundary Lines from Record Maps and Grant Deed Descriptions and Title reports. -Reduce and process field notes, sketches, checklists and digital data in required formats for Project Managers, Land Surveyors and Drafting personnel -Develop working relationships with client, contractors, stakeholders, relevant agencies. -Analyze field data & plot accurately onto a cad file (i.e. description codes, invert Dip sheets) -Generate accurate Surfaces and Contours through AutoCAD -Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling project team activities under supervision of a Licensed Land Surveyor.

-Great culture – Team Collaboration, Innovative problem solving, Responsive to clients, Passionate about work -10+ years’ relevant experience -General knowledge of computers, Microsoft office, Adobe, Internet, Bluebeam, etc. -Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) required, License preferred -Understanding of contract negotiations, client billing and contract amendments for changes to scope and fees under supervision of a Licensed Land Surveyor -Ability to create a 3D model from a point cloud. -Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, required. -Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent years of experience in Land Surveying -Knowledge and understanding of all types of utility plans
