Co‑op marine structural engineering role focusing on design calculations, analysis and project coordination.

Tasks

-Keep track of project documents and construction progress. -Prepare technical and other project specifications. -Coordinate the work of structural designers and draftspersons. -Coordinate with other engineering disciplines. -Establish a structural analysis model using applicable software. -Prepare design calculations and design reports for concrete/steel/timber design.

What You Bring

-Experience in using structural analysis computer software (SAP2000/STAAD) is an asset. -Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills. -Experience with AutoCAD is an asset. -Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written English communication skills. -Knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, Concrete Design Handbook, Steel Design Handbook, and other applicable design codes is an asset. -Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related degree. -Able to work independently and as part of a team.
