PLC Applications Engineer

Overview

Write and support PLC programs for water/wastewater control systems.

Tasks

-Work with various departments internally, along with consulting engineers, customers and end-users to assure proper system layouts and designs -Provide technical assistance (phone or job-site) to verify and/or modify PLC program -Write (publish) concise operating instructions detailing; control parameters and their effects under normal and failure conditions -Assist in training other employees on any aspect above -Write PLC operating program based upon control specification and/or Tesco standards to assure safe, reliable and optimal equipment operation -Perform customer training and assist sales force with product presentations

What You Bring

-High level of project management skills -Preferred 2-5+ years of related experience -High level of organizational and time management skills -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Technology or related field and industry experience -Applied knowledge in programming major manufacturers (Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Tesco, etc.) PLCs & OITs -Excellent understanding of computer operations, Microsoft Office -Excellent knowledge of instruments and electro-mechanical devices used for process control -Excellent attention to detail -Fluency with programming at least 3 manufacturers PLC's
