Accounts Payable Manager

Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to lead AP operations in our high‑energy fire, water, and flood restoration business. The role will oversee invoice processing across 32 branches, ensure accurate field‑level approvals and job‑cost coding, manage a hybrid team of in‑office and outsourced staff, and drive AI‑enabled automation to support rapid vendor payments during emergencies.

• Oversee full‑cycle accounts payable for 32 branches and national vendors.
• Manage vendor relationships, ensuring contract compliance and restoration‑specific requirements.
• Supervise field‑level invoice approvals and job‑cost coding.
• Lead and mentor a distributed team of in‑office and internationally outsourced clerical staff.
• Drive AI‑powered system integration for automated receipt capture, invoice processing, and coding.
• Process and report expedited check requests for rapid vendor payments in emergency scenarios.
• Monitor AP aging, reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance (e.g., 1099 reporting).
• Develop and implement process improvements, policies, and metrics to boost efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance on vendor onboarding, purchase orders, and project costing.
• Prepare regular AP metrics and vendor performance reports for senior management.

Requirements

• Strategic leader with strong vendor management skills and multi‑location experience.
• Ability to multitask effectively.
• Strong communication skills.
• Minimum 3 years of high‑volume accounts payable experience.
