The ReStore Donation Associate provides excellent customer service and ensures customers and donors have a safe, positive, and rewarding experience. They assist in pricing, merchandising, and maintaining the sales floor, as well as cashiering, moving, and loading donations, and perform other assigned duties.
- Clean, sort, price, and store donations according to the price guide, consulting the supervisor when needed.
- Keep the loading dock clear and safe, and maintain a clutter‑free back room.
- Assist donors promptly, accepting or rejecting items based on sellable condition.
- Unload scheduled and specialty pickups alongside truck drivers.
- Greet donors and customers, thank them, and answer questions about the cause.
- Complete the daily opening and closing checklist.
- Process customer transactions using the point‑of‑sale system, including discounts, coupons, returns, and tax exemptions.
- Help customers carry purchases to their vehicles.
- Sort clothing donations and prepare them for the sales floor.
