The Energy Management and Control System (EMCS) Unit monitors, operates, and adjusts utility and building environmental systems such as heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning from centralized computer workstations. Technicians interpret system graphics and alarms, troubleshoot malfunctions, and may act as service‑call receptionists. The position is onsite and requires self‑sufficiency.
- Perform independent mechanical work on equipment using diagrams to locate failures.
- Identify root causes of mechanical issues and complete tasks accurately and timely.
- Coordinate with personnel to select correct materials and parts for jobs.
- Generate and submit outage requests; respond promptly to emergency site maintenance.
- Conduct on‑call and preventive maintenance; perform periodic inventories and prepare material requisitions.
- Operate company motor vehicles and equipment safely.
- Maintain files, clean workspace, manage warehouse space, and answer phones as needed.
- Follow safety policies, standard operating procedures, and work overtime when required.

- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrate computer proficiency.
- Possess at least three years of relevant experience.

- Understand hazardous, safety, and environmental warnings.
- Have general knowledge of maintenance and construction trades.
- Ability to work rotational shifts as business needs dictate.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and government ID card.
- Pass pre‑employment drug screening and background check.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills (preferred).
- Complete technical or trade school education (preferred).
- Receive specific training in EMCS Operator courses (preferred).
