- Collaborate with suppliers, other designers, construction team and similar to produce a robust and safe design output.
- Coordinating project work activities between team members – such as interdisciplinary reviews
- Engaging / leading technical reviews, meetings and presentations to support scope delivery, closing out of technical actions.
- Collaborate and ensure learning is shared, proactively challenge / celebrate safety performance
- Actively learn and share best practice into the discipline team
- Support to others in the project team and wider Costain to ensure project and corporate outcomes are achieved, in particular Costain sustainability targets. Support project reporting data such as KPIs / carbon etc
- Completion of work packages to cost, time and quality needs, managing change and other resources / people as required to achieve this.
- Production and checking of tendering and design deliverables, aligned with your technical discipline, to meet project needs and client requirements.

- Water / Wastewater experience
- Driving licence
- Be able to lead design meetings, deliver presentations and groups
- Have design engineering experience within (Mechanical, Civils, Electrical or ICA)
- Able to support estimate development – scoping / hours / risks / assumptions
- Be able to accurately report progress / risk / opportunities / change etc
- Degree or equivalent in a related engineering discipline (e.g. civil, electrical, mechanical, ICA)
- Be able to manage resources as required
- Progressing towards a Chartered professional review with relevant chartered body such as ICE, CIWEM
- Able to work accurately and deliver to promise, predict and report potential challenges to delivery
- Understand sustainable design essentials
- Have working knowledge of UK Regulatory framework associated with technical discipline, ie CDM, Electrical, Environmental, Process etc
