Lead and oversee all aspects of the project to ensure it is delivered on budget and on time.
Ensure projects are built to quality specifications. Monitor non-conformances and improve operations to comply with all QA/QC requirements
Effectively lead your construction team and promote a productive work environment.
Ensure that corporate health and safety program is adhered to along with site specific regulations and requirements
Communicate directly with clients and Subcontractors. Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships
Monitor performance against the contractual requirements and execute corrective action when necessary to ensure compliance. Identify, price, and negotiate additional work.
Be responsible for documentation and correspondence including site work, submissions, change orders, claims, payment certification, etc. Ensure timely and accurate correspondence with all parties
Develop, monitor and adjust critical path schedules to achieve project milestones. Implement processes, measures and standards that achieve productivity targets
Review performance reports on costs, forecasts, and revenue to identify risks and opportunities to improve financial performance of the project
Provide technical and functional direction and support to the project team to create and promote opportunities for direct reports to take on new responsibilities aligned with business needs
Develop the project budget for costs and revenue based on estimates provided

8+ years hands-on experience leading large highway, bridge or municipal construction projects from concept to completion
Complete understanding of job costing and forecasting
Post Secondary Education in engineering or construction and P.Eng designation will be an asset
Ability to interpret construction drawings
A professional certification like PMP, civil engineering background and experience managing some MTO projects preferred
Significant understanding of Provincial construction Safety Regulations and proven record of safe project execution
Ability to communicate effectively, with superior writing skills
Deep understanding of construction contracts, specification and best practices. Leadership and people management skills
Strong organization and time management skills
