Senior / Building Consultant / UK Building Surveyor

Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Melbourne VIC or Sydney, NSW, for a Senior / Building Consultant / UK Building Surveyor. The role includes carrying out technical inspections and assessments of commercial properties, providing detailed and technical reports for due diligence purposes, and ensuring the physical condition and compliance of properties. Additional responsibilities include working directly with clients to align property assessments with investment or operational strategies, planning and managing projects, and contributing expertise to decision-making processes.

Requirements

You will excel in this role if you have first class technical skills and an inquisitive, searching attitude to building investigations.

• Skills in Project Planning with the ability to create clear, actionable plans for managing assessments and related tasks effectively.
• Proven experience within technical due diligence or building consultancy within the commercial property sector is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently as a proactive problem solver while adhering to client deadlines.
• Membership with RICS (MRICS) or relevant accreditation is strongly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Construction, including building materials, structures, and regulations.
• Proficiency in conducting property Inspections to assess the physical condition and identify risks or needed repairs.
• Attention to detail, excellent written communication skills, and the ability to produce high-quality technical reports.
