Field Service Engineer – Energy Storage Systems

• Support commissioning activities for battery energy storage systems and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, perform warranty repairs, and recommend product improvements.
• Evaluate supplier proposals and ensure equipment meets technical and quality standards.
• Contribute to the development and documentation of engineering processes and tools.
• Provide remote diagnostics and technical support to customers, ensuring strong client relationships.
• Perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Prepare detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentation of site activities.
• Conduct regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and capacity testing on BESS installations.
• Act as a technical advisor in customer meetings and collaborate with engineering teams on product development.

Location: Australia (National travel required)

Travel: 70–80%

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MODBUS protocols and complex control logic.
• 7+ years of experience in power systems, energy storage, or power generation projects.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Strong hands-on expertise in HV/LV systems, inverters, converters, transformers, and control systems.
