Project Director

Description

As Project Director, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of complex projects valued between £50m–£150m. You will provide strategic leadership to project teams, ensure adherence to programme, quality and budget, and act as the key client interface throughout the project lifecycle.

• Provide accurate progress reporting to the executive leadership team.
• Ensure the project adheres to all contractual, technical and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the delivery of large-scale data centre and industrial projects (50m–150m).
• Oversee construction strategy, sequencing, and project governance.
• Drive excellence in safety, quality, programme management and commercial performance.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
• Manage and mentor project teams, ensuring high performance and compliance.
• Support pre-construction, bid development and project planning activities.

Requirements

A leading UK main contractor is seeking an exceptional Project Director to oversee major data centre and industrial projects across the Buckinghamshire region. This is a senior leadership position suited to someone with a proven ability to drive large-scale, mission-critical schemes from pre-construction through to delivery and handover.

• Demonstrated track record delivering major construction projects £50m–£150m.
• Experience within data centres, industrial, advanced manufacturing or mission-critical environments.
• Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary project teams.
