Description
Creates/maintains reports, system records, and database information.
Plans, coordinates and designs the installation and repair of gas distribution mains and service lines assigned to employees and outside contractors with the objective of assuring that installations and repairs conform to Company standards and schedules.
Interprets blueprints and drawings of work performance to determine that work is conforming to company standards and plans and complies with DOT requirements.
Plans and executes details of work orders.
May coordinate and act as a liaison with other departments or outside agencies.
Prepares complete and accurate records and reports of inspection activities and results.
Assists/prepares design drawings and documents, under the direction of an engineer as applicable.
Prepares detailed field drawings of all facilities installed, abandoned, or repaired, as required.
Coordinates construction activities with landowners, builders, developers, State DOT, and other regulatory agencies to assure quality and timeliness of project.
Assists engineer, sales and other engineering specialists as directed.
Performs technical computations and load studies; makes technical drawings and reports.
Measures and collects field information, through field measurement, tax maps at courthouses, and scaling from drawings.
Gathers, compiles, reviews and analyzes information and data for use in engineering tasks.
Ensures that all aspects of the job are performed in a safe manner that fulfills all requirements of OSHA.
Draws construction sketches detailing location of pipe, valves, and fittings with respect to permanent structures, property lines, and cover of pipe to natural ground.
Assists/performs mathematical and analytical calculations, research and design to provide engineering or technical support to designated area.
Provides support in coordination of projects.
Assures permits are approved prior to construction.
Develops and implements process improvements.
