Perform field work related to construction related activities as required.
Assist in basic interpretation and verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices
Developing cooperative skills in working efficiently with a team.
Work with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer.
Perform basic calculations to analyze and design engineering system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
Use knowledge of general concepts of engineering elements through investigation and analysis, to support engineering projects that focus on transportation systems such as highways, streets, drainage structures, utilities, traffic signals and roadway lighting.
Assists the team in providing support services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications.
Assist team in preparing engineering designs, drawings, specifications, presentations and reports, and gather information to support design decisions

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Civil engineering technician/technology diploma from a recognized community or technical college or the ability to demonstrate sufficient knowledge received from previous experience.
Basic understanding of MicroStation, In Roads, Open Roads Designer, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D with experience a plus.
