The Leasing Associate is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations. Leasing Associates handle lease signings and act as landlords on behalf of property owners.
- Respond to phone and online inquiries, scheduling virtual, self‑guided, and in‑person tours.
- Greet and qualify prospects using lead management software, assisting with applications and deposits while complying with Fair Housing.
- Maintain up‑to‑date availability reports and process applications with credit checks and rental‑history verification.
- Obtain Community Manager approval and follow up with applicants on their status.
- Show apartments, close sales, prepare move‑ins, secure resident signatures, and provide community orientation.
- Manage the property’s social‑media presence to boost visibility and engagement.
- Address resident complaints, questions, and requests promptly to enhance satisfaction and retention.
- Handle all sale‑closing functions: appointments, lead generation, tours, showroom upkeep, and follow‑up.
- Apply marketing strategies within budget limits, including competitive rates, referrals, promotions, and outreach.
- Organize resident events and serve as host for after‑hours functions to strengthen retention.
- Complete lease, move‑in, check‑out, and peak‑period paperwork efficiently.
- Participate in weekly and daily goal‑setting meetings.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely resident service request resolution.

Candidates should have an associate’s degree or equivalent, or six to twelve months of related experience, and be proficient with Microsoft Office and property‑management software. A valid driver’s license is required.
The role may require extended periods of sitting, climbing stairs, lifting items up to 20 lb, and using mobile devices. It is based on‑site in an office setting, with occasional outdoor work and exposure to a busy, open‑plan environment.
