The Superintendent will provide coordination, planning, and supervision of assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft crews within a designated discipline. Responsibilities include schedule management, site logistics, material and equipment oversight, and ensuring safety, quality, and compliance across multiple projects.
- Plan and implement material, equipment, and inspection schedules to support project timelines.
- Review construction and contract documents for completeness and constructability.
- Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers and resolve discrepancies.
- Develop and maintain three‑week and six‑week look‑ahead project schedules.
- Create and execute site logistics plans.
- Manage utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with partner superintendents and conduct on‑site orientations and pre‑construction meetings.
- Supervise project partners, craft foremen, and crews; mentor and evaluate assistant superintendents and foremen.
- Interview, hire, transfer, and, if necessary, terminate craft team members.
- Ensure accurate task coding of work hours on timecards.
- Track work progress and craft productivity; verify training is current before task start.
- Conduct career development discussions with foremen and team members.
- Provide high‑level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance; recognize and mitigate unfavorable conditions.

Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational detail, basic knowledge of construction law, intermediate Microsoft Office skills, a professional attitude, and possess a valid driver’s license and ability to travel 100 %.

Benefits
Compensation ranges from $130,100 to $195,200, with higher rates for certain locations, and is based on knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
