• cost estimating
• Manage and monitor consultant contracts, manage the request for design, construction, and professional services from other State agencies
• Responsible for supervision of staff, in addition to reviewing and supervising consultant projects.
• Assist higher level staff in managing more complex building construction projects
• resource management (including labor, material, and equipment scheduling)
• Manage medium sized and complex new building construction projects and the rehabilitation and renovation projects for NYS Facilities
• coordination of multiple trades

Requirements

• Associate degree: two years of required experience.
• Possession and maintenance of a valid Driver’s License issued by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicle is required or otherwise demonstrate the capacity to meet the transportation needs of the job.
• Applicant degrees in related fields may substitute for experience as follows:
• Master’s degree: five years of required experience.
• Doctorate degree: six years of required experience.
• construction document reading and interpretation (e.g., plans and specifications).
• Travel is required (approximately 50%).
• Bachelor’s degree: four years of required experience.
