Description

• Oversee quality‑assurance program, ensuring inspections, material testing, RFIs, and submittals meet owner requirements.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications, initiating actions to maintain schedule progress.
• Perform construction‑management tasks such as reviewing design specifications, coordinating activities, and monitoring progress.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
• Solve on‑site problems and implement necessary design modifications.
• Coordinate with Olsson teams and project managers, reporting progress and addressing potential issues.
• Supervise, mentor, and review work of less experienced staff members.
• Maintain project and client information in the firm’s project‑management system.
• Work in varied terrain and weather conditions throughout all construction stages.

Requirements

Olsson is seeking an experienced Project Construction Manager/Inspector to lead diverse transportation and municipal construction projects. In this role you will act as the owner’s representative on‑site, overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications, and delivering projects on time and within scope. You may also supervise staff and mentor less experienced team members.

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• Have a minimum of six years’ experience in construction management and inspection.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to read drawings, specifications, and codes.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving history and schedule flexibility.
• Preferably hold certifications such as ACI Field Grade 1, Nuclear Gauge Safety Training, and OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.
