- 3-4+ years of work experience in an automated production or line leadership position.
- Experience with front line people leadership.
- Strong data‑driven core with ability to communicate performance, quality, safety, and process efficiency and inspire shop‑floor employees.
- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing concrete and concrete products is preferred.
- Experience with concrete manufacturing equipment (e.g., Masa, Hess, Omag, Columbia, Rekers, Besser) is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Position‑specific experience preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to self‑motivate, work autonomously and proactively.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours and overtime, including nights and weekends, when necessary.
- Flexibility, adaptability, organizational skills and professionalism.
- Basic computer skills required; knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft tools a plus.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds.
- Frequently reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, and smell.
- Occasionally remain stationary; ascend and descend steps and ladders; position self in tight spaces.
Benefits
The Production Machine Operator role pays $24/hr plus a $6/hr shift differential, working Saturday to Monday from 5:30 am to 5:30 pm at the Pen Argyl, PA facility. The operator is responsible for safe and efficient production of paver and block equipment, requiring mechanical aptitude to adjust, troubleshoot, repair, and operate machinery.
