Description

The Maintenance Mechanic performs maintenance and repairs on building systems and manufacturing equipment under the direction of Facility and Operations Managers, ensuring safety compliance and optimal performance of HVAC, mechanical systems, and building automation.

Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing industrial HVAC, pumps, motors, hydraulics, and oil‑mist collectors; operating tank farm systems with reporting and repair functions; executing preventive and predictive maintenance programs with a 24‑hour work‑order turnaround; and supporting building automation, power systems (normal, emergency, UPS), utility piping, compressed‑air services, and meter calibration.

• Perform maintenance and repairs on building systems and manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial HVAC, pumps, motors, hydraulics, and oil‑mist collectors.
• Operate and maintain tank farm systems with reporting and repair functions.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs, completing work orders within 24 hours.
• Support building automation, power systems (normal, emergency, UPS), and utility piping.
• Service compressed‑air systems, backflow preventers, and calibrate gas/water meters.
• Ensure safety training compliance and complete safety preventive‑maintenance tasks.
• Maintain forklift and aerial lift licenses and manage spare parts inventory.

Requirements

The role requires at least five years of facility maintenance experience, preferably with a journeyman certification in HVAC, electrical, machine repair, or mechanical trades. Strong knowledge of HVAC/R, mechanical systems, building automation, pumps, motors, and hydraulics is essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong communication skills, a detail‑oriented approach, and the physical ability to operate forklifts and aerial lifts safely.

Preferred qualifications include experience with controller programs such as Allen‑Bradley, Fanuc, or Siemens, familiarity with MAXIMO maintenance management and predictive maintenance technologies, advanced HVAC, electrical, or mechanical certifications, backup generator and emergency power systems expertise, tank farm operations, and environmental compliance reporting.

• 5+ years of facility maintenance experience; journeyman certification preferred.

• Advanced HVAC, electrical, or mechanical certifications and backup generator expertise (preferred).
• Experience in tank farm operations, bulk fluid handling, and environmental compliance reporting (preferred).
