Meeting all project deadlines and supporting the processes and procedures to meet deadlines.
Development of complete engineering design packages for protective relaying and communication systems, including one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, logic and functional diagrams, panel layouts, control house layouts, wiring/connection diagrams, interconnection diagrams, relaying equipment specifications and bill of materials.
Working on project teams supporting all quality and project management goals.
Maintaining up-to-date technical skills related to the design of electrical substations and protection and control schematics for the electric utility power grid through on-the-job work and formal training.
Develop drawings and assist in the preparation of design packages using CAD/drafting skills.
Coordinate with Substation Design Engineers, Relay Settings Engineers, and other groups to ensure design concurrence.
Preparing additional support documentation as needed to assist procurement, construction, and operation/maintenance of systems being designed.
Consistently following established design standards and CAD drafting standards while assuring quality, accuracy, and completeness.
Identifying process improvement ideas and commuting ideas through appropriate management channels.

Good PC skills and the ability to support testing activities as required by the project lead.
Strong computer skills.
Must have the ability to work independently, and accurately, and have high attention to detail.
Substation awareness and Safety consciousness.
Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively discuss technical recommendations with customers.
Aptitude to quickly learn and apply test procedures for various types of substation equipment.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Educational experience directly related to working with [medium to high voltage] electricity (preferred).
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school with a focus on power systems.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
