The Road Mechanic position supports Sunbelt’s nationwide operations by performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet that typically includes aerial work platforms, construction tools, and, at specialty locations, large generators, pumps, HVAC and oil‑and‑gas equipment.
Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or GED, with trade‑school training considered a plus, and 3–5 years of experience maintaining diesel, heavy‑construction, or specialty line equipment. A valid driver’s license is required, and a CDL may be necessary in some locations.
Successful mechanics must be able to provide their own tools, possess solid knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, and adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Bilingual ability (Spanish or other) may be required depending on location.
