IT Engineering Intern

Description

• Managing projects
• Manage IT user support tickets
• Coordinate with reporting manager, user functional communities, team members on task priorities and initiatives
• Conduct meetings, user training sessions and test
• Support identification of automation and process improvements
• Support the user communities and team members
• Planning and Organizing
• Contribute to the digital engineering service initiative
• Develop, maintain, and integrate coding throughout the software development lifecycle
• Prepare flow diagram, use case, instructional, and test documentation and guides

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in team project deliveries and the execution methods
• Proficient in Java, JSP, XML, HTML and SQL
• Enrolled in post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. Senior Students preferred. This internship is ideal for new graduates or soon-to-be graduates (within the past 12 months)
• Hands-on experience with real projects
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills
• Skilled at developing and maintaining strong relationships across all levels of the organization and with external customers and vendors
• Skills and ability to follow technical instructions, perform installation of hardware and software
• Working knowledge of Java and SQL
• Problem Solving
• Working knowledge of web-based Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and 3D CAD Applications
• Skills and ability to learn complex applications and processes
• Team player with the ability to collaborate and interact with other groups
• Knowledge in API creation
• Fundamentals of programming and scripting
• Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
• Critical Thinking
• Other industry experience in developing and implementing applications within organizationally, logistically, and technically complex environments.
• Flexible and adaptable to change
• Server OS (Linux and/or Windows) and network configurations
