Key duties include embedding defined project‑control standards, monitoring cost, schedule, risk and change, and coordinating integration of schedules, budgets and risk data to provide a consolidated programme view. The manager will support project‑controls resources in applying WBS/CBS structures, earned‑value metrics and critical‑path analysis, and will be responsible for management and regulatory reporting, producing monthly dashboards and actionable insights. Additional responsibilities involve attending governance meetings, championing digital tools such as Power BI, CEMAR and Primavera, and driving continuous improvement and lessons‑learned across the portfolio.
The ideal candidate brings over ten years of experience on large‑scale, complex infrastructure or energy EPC projects, preferably within UK transmission or distribution upgrades. A degree in engineering, construction management, project management or equivalent, together with proficiency in Microsoft Office, MSP, P6/OPC, SAP, Autodesk Construction Cloud, CEMAR and Power BI, is required. Proven leadership, strong written and verbal communication, influence at senior levels, familiarity with NEC4 ECC contracts, and the ability to adapt to dynamic project environments are essential.
The Project Controls Manager role offers a salary of up to £75,000 per annum, a strong benefits package and excellent career progression opportunities.
