Innovation Milestone
Introduced North America’s first all-battery electric locomotive.
Beyond railroads, it develops and runs ports, multimodal terminals, and rail-served industrial parks in synergy with its rail operations.
Typical projects include operating rail lines like the Stockton Terminal & Eastern and Brownsville & Rio Grande, and developing industrial parks like River Ridge and Access 25.
It has a knack for turning underused lines into profitable freight corridors, handling cargo from grain and chemicals to frac-sand and steel.
Stand-out moments include suspending service on the Churchill, Manitoba line after floods.
A subsidiary of The Broe Group, the firm blends transportation, logistics and real estate to create integrated supply-chain hubs.
