The Underground Cable Splicer is a skilled position in the construction, maintenance and repair of electrical underground distribution systems. The role involves safely performing new construction, maintenance or repair work on both energized and de‑energized underground systems.
Physical demands include regular standing, walking, lifting over 50 lb, using hand tools continuously, and exposure to inclement weather, dirt, fumes, noise and vibration. The employee must be able to talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions with hands and arms.
