Production Associate

Description

As a Production Associate, you’ll work under the direct stewardship of a Production Manager and serve as a key resource for managing time-intensive design, drafting, and modeling efforts across assigned accounts and projects. This position offers the first formal opportunity to participate in managing projects, people, and production workflows, making it an ideal role for those looking to grow into leadership.

Drafting, Design & Plan Development

• Escalate pricing-related questions (outside of repeat work) to the Project Manager
• Maintain accurate logs of work performed
• Provide feedback and coaching opportunities to Designers to support continuous improvement
• Mentor and train Designers on software tools, client standards, and best practices
• Review construction documents for quality, accuracy, and adherence to company standards
• Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day drafting and modeling needs across assigned accounts
• Track time, workload, and project status to support efficient workflows
• Partner with Production Managers and Project Managers to forecast and meet weekly production goals
• Identify and escalate scope or content changes to the Project Manager
• Support skill development and performance growth across the team
• Support advanced design efforts as assigned
• Contribute to product and process development through collaborative team efforts
• Utilize project tracking software effectively
• Use available resources efficiently and effectively
• Assist management in assigning and reviewing production work for Designers and Specialists
• Prepare high-quality Construction Documents under management direction

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional drafting experience
• High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred
• Proven ability to meet deadlines through prioritization and communication
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus
• Communicate clearly and consistently with Project Managers and leadership regarding project status
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or discipline-specific design software
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong experience preparing Construction Documents
• Ability to clearly communicate technical knowledge to Designers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Working knowledge of construction techniques and applicable building codes
• Strong organizational and time management skills
