Lead and execute Free Trade Agreement (FTA) solicitations, determinations, and certifications.
Contribute to the department’s Quality Management System (QMS) by identifying opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and better system and compliance understanding.
Address and resolve transactional inquiries from Customs brokers, freight forwarders, and stakeholders regarding holds or Notices of Action. Collaborate with Procurement and Engineering teams on new product SKUs.
Review and verify import/export documentation for accuracy, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any missing or incomplete information.
Provide advice to internal and external customers on Customs compliance matters.
Maintain and update product classifications in SAP, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, including PGA, SIMA, ADD, CVD, and ECCN. Audit part descriptions and HS tariff codes for consistency and accuracy.
Support the Customs Compliance Officer’s trade compliance projects including audits, corrective actions, digitalization, drawbacks, CTPAT/PIP/AEO and GTM.

Recognized for continuous learning and adaptability, with a track record of implementing improvements that enhance organizational performance.
Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation required, with at least 3+ years of experience in commodity rating and free trade agreements, preferably in a brokerage environment.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, customs authorities, and regulatory bodies.
Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with an ability to identify potential risks and solutions.
Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and be proactive in owning projects and processes, working independently with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in advanced Excel; SAP experience is a plus.
