Maintains a SAFE jobsite, monitors safety and takes appropriate action to correct any safety issues or deficiencies.
Manage and prevent hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through safety management and contact with field supervisory personnel.
Maintain MSDS and Hazardous Communication Program.
Gathers toolbox reports from foreman and subcontractors.
Provide daily stretch & Flex along with toolbox talks.
Assists Project Manager and/or Superintendents with the development and monitoring of the job specific safety plans, JHAs.
Supervise and conduct safety and first aid training of staff at the project sites.
Accompany all safety, health, and insurance inspectors on walk through tours.
From daily site activities, will generate a daily report.
Oversee and interact with management and crews during daily work activities.
Maintains and conducts Safety audits.
Purchase and distribute Safety equipment (PPE).
Provide safety orientations
Prepares accident reports for any incidents that occur.
Monitors activities at multiple construction sites. Inspects construction sites daily.
Completes incident reports and distributes and maintains files.
Review daily, weekly, and monthly field documentation to ensure all required records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted per established project procedures.
Document all accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions/activities. Conduct investigations with employees, subcontractor personnel and CCIP carrier for each accident occurrence or violation.
Monitors all accidents and maintains appropriate paperwork and files pertaining to same. Gathers Monthly Safety Hours from subcontractors for the monthly Report.
Review accident procedure.
Supervisory responsibilities include but are not limited to training and mentoring employees; planning, assigning, delegating and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and resolving employee issues.

Bachelor's degree in a Health & Safety related program from an accredited institution
LOTO Training
30 Hour OSHA
Experience in underground construction, TBM experience highly preferred.
Familiarity and experience with NYCDEP safety and health regulations.
OSHA 30 credential is required to be considered for this role.
Confined Space Training
5 or more years’ experience as a manager or supervisor of safety teams
