The Ready-Mix Plant Loader Operator is responsible for operating a front-end loader to load aggregate materials into the batching plant's hoppers, managing stockpiles, and ensuring the plant operates efficiently. The operator performs routine maintenance, keeps equipment and work area clean, and adheres to safety regulations.
- Support a safety‑first culture and ensure regulatory compliance
- Operate front‑end bucket high loader to load sand, gravel, and aggregates
- Manage stockpiles and ensure correct materials are available for production
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to supervisor
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around stockpiles and loading zones
- Perform regular checks and maintenance to keep the loader in good condition
- Conduct routine maintenance on loader and other plant equipment
- Carry out pre‑shift inspections and report issues to maintenance team
- Communicate effectively with plant operators, drivers, and team members
- Discuss production plans, material types, truck numbers, and daily deliveries
- Report operational issues or safety concerns to supervisor immediately

The physical demands of this role include regular sitting, talking, hearing, standing, walking, bending, and lifting or moving objects from 1 to 50 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
The work environment involves regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions and airborne particles, occasional proximity to moving mechanical parts, and generally loud noise levels.
- High school education or GED equivalent
- Experience operating heavy equipment, preferably in ready‑mix concrete or similar industrial environment
- Knowledge of material handling and loader operation
- Ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot equipment
- Understanding of safety regulations and practices
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to think clearly under stress or difficult circumstances
- Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
- Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary
- Willingness to work nights and weekends when required
- Motor vehicle record check
