In this position you will prepare verbal and written weather briefings, produce multiple daily forecasts for diverse industry sectors, and deliver on‑demand consultation through phone, email, and chat. You will continuously monitor evolving conditions, issue severe weather alerts, and conduct post‑event analyses to improve future predictions. Technical reporting, including case studies and seasonal or hurricane outlooks, is also a key component of the role.
The ideal candidate holds a B.Sc. in Meteorology or Atmospheric Science from a WMO‑compliant program and can work rotating day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays. Strong communication, time‑management, and pressure‑handling skills are essential, as are critical‑thinking and collaborative problem‑solving abilities. A growth mindset, commitment to diversity and inclusion, and self‑motivation are valued, with bilingual fluency in French and English considered an asset.
